I may be wrong about this but since the charged attack does 3 damage and the sword special does 2 or 3 damage is that even fair? They can easily get 6 or 5 hearts off of you and this same thing doesnt apply for hammer as hammers special is not an aoe (area of effect) but it is rather in a cone shpae i beleive. So like in the end your left with 2 or 3 hp which lets be honest its gonna take an mlg player to win in those conditions.

As in like being able to control whether you want effects or not

Possibly particle effects? Like the barrels breaking etc. or low quality to high quality graphics etc.
