Hmm... Well, kicking wouldn't really make sense against a flying arrow? Perhaps that could be change. But it seems like still people would block like normal - I don't see many actual arrows fly anyways so maybe draw speed should be increased.

If anything, melee weapons should be the ones to get chip damage. I think instead, archers need more mobility.

They'll accept it after a while at least, unless it turns out to be really bad and everybody hates it. In which case, I'll change my name and move to EU servers :S

Hehe. That's exactly how I've got it bound ingame. Block on right mouse, roll on space, sprint on shift, jump on V.

Change is good: just a little at a time to see what works. Maybe release a beta?

I have a very firm belief that all weapons should be balanced - and taking from TF2's formula, the free weapons you start with should be the most versatile. The axe currently fills this, mostly - but swords could use a change to increase its balance, to not make it a better axe

Personally? Axe is bae. I love the shockwave because it acts as a nice way to catch a target from just about anything. But sword charge attack should be changed to, well, a charging attack. Like the axe, it'll be a good way to quickly close the distance with a long ranged melee poke, rather than riding in like a beyblade on crack. It already gets a spin attack from its special Whirlwind - reduce the user's movement speed from that, and allow for multihits, and we'll have some interesting counterplay - including shockwave!

Allow me to add onto this, then. I think dash should be put to another key. I'm the type of person who double taps in games similar to this: it's faking movement in order to force a move or dodge an attack. But in this game, double tap makes you dash. Double-tapping means falling into a pit, or spikes, or a trap, or messing up your spacing. In any case, you get hurt. A lot.

In the same theme, I'd like for roll to be made in the same way as dash; although it is supposed to be a guard breaker, it is still a useful burst of movement. I've died several times to a roll I thought was going to go left, while my cursor was facing right.
