How is private rooms bad. You can play with friends and it won't count towards you rank. Plus you can hold tournaments and make your own rules.

I'm not sure. But if you and your friend put in the same matchmaking code and go into Practice Mode, I think it puts you in the same room. I know Egze has opened private servers once in a while.
