an exploration feel to the game

Celebrimbor 6 years ago updated 6 years ago 5

Im pretty sure im not the only one who simply LOVES to discover and explore new games. when the first ruins map was added i almost climaxed. rolling through the small gaps, jumping through windows, leaping from platform to platform, avoiding spikes, etc. it was LIT. and now that we got the fort map, which didnt update for a year or so, this very specific feel of discovery faded.

Now to my idea: what if Rezoner would make a lot of different maps with different themes and mechanics?

I KNOW I KNOW, this means a lot of work and a lot of time which Rez doesnt have

I thought that we, the trusty community, could bundle up in order to create sprites, textures, generate ideas and so on

I would love if we made lots of maps and cycled them, 1 per week(not necessarily 1 unique one per week, they could repeat themselves)

just thinking of a jungle themed map with hidden paths, bushes to hide and dart traps, fall pits and so on brings a smile to my face

Nice post, so +1, but I think that adding new content to the fort map and making it bigger would cost Rezoner less time

it would be cool

Cycling maps has been a dream of mine for a while. I feel like something like this would definitely keep players interested in the game. Maybe we could cycle not just new maps but game mode, like having ctf for a couple and then some new fort map for a couple weeks, etc.

Of course, this is a lot of work and would probably make the game really heavy and laggy. Rez has talked about moving the game to a more powerful engine, but I don't know if something of this scale would ever be possible to be added without sacrificing quality of gameplay.

well having weakly changes would be actually fun, but the best we could have is "montly" as of rn but who knows...

how come i havent thought of this? cycling game modes through maps would be lit
