The "new" kill meter voice

When you do a double, triple, quad or monster kill there's a high-pitched voice that announces you about that. It was introduced a while ago and I wanted to ask what happened to the old one? You know, the one that says REVENGE after you kill someone who killed you earlier. I think it was cooler than the current one, because it was more brutal.
