Mountain tiles

Rezoner1337 8 years ago updated 8 years ago 17

I have Tytanowy mountain tiles almost working. The remaining question is what kind of collisions will be better for gameplay:

1) Mountain edges are totally non passable - like walls.

2) You can jump down from the mountain - but you cannot climb up the mountain with jumping

Ok, I have implemented first iteration of mountains. You can see it in action there:

Please use my first comment to vote, so I don't have to count the votes :)

Does this mean we're getting another map, possibly a more open one?

I am more into reworking the current map rather than add new maps.

Like keep the marketplace and the temple, but make open space with mountains around it - but that's discussible. I am also willing to cycle maps and modes each week.

I like this idea It will keep players from having the SAME strategies for one map etc

I'll have to see if Egzekutor would be interested in making you some map templates to restyle and remodel the map, incorporating the possible addition of mountain tiles.

Oooohh, those eyes in the rocks look like they could be another environmental danger!

Then again, they may just be detail.

This cave is occupied by hordes of goblins :D

Brilliant, if added this can be a spawning source for goblins. Implying that the farther away you are from one of these caves the lower chances there are of goblins.

Most likely, I will make a post featuring this idea based off your graphic work and Rezoner's additions. I'll make sure to tag both of your posts with the forum topic. We can do this as a community to improve wilds.io as time goes on, adding on to preexisting features, patching new and reoccurring bugs, and solving community issues!
