New spear weapon?

Dear Dev, It'll be nice to have a spear weapon, Perhaps with more range than axe/sword but less than arrow. It doesn't have attack radius but you can have attack penetration sorta like roll. Maybe more knock back too. Bonus damage when thrown? Perhaps its special can be holding the spear in front of you, dealing 0.5-1 damage on touch, the spear will keep sticking out until you stop holding.
