unblockable grunt's combo

unblockable whirlwind is pretty OP on it's own - everything else has it's counter (hit - block, block - roll/kick, roll - hit, shockwave - jump, knife - block). to make things worse, the full combo goes like:
1. whirlwind
2. drop bomb during whirlwind

3. attack knocked down opponent

1+2 alone is lots of damage - I think I've never survived it, and is completely unblockable as far as I know. It can also hit multiple enemies with the same whirlwind + bomb.

I think whirlwind should be blockable OR it shouldn't knock enemies down, just damage them.

I will look into that - whirlwind should be blockable.
Just to make sure - we are talking about berserkers whirlwind right?

You can shockwave him. I'm quite sure well time roll/kick will work as well.

Maybe wave attacks should break whirlwind? I am finding it hard to tell whether zerk is OP or it's just that it's usually played by dedicated players. I have no troubles winning with zerk.... unless he takes me to the ground.

There are not enough zerks around to say if hero is op. The most important is to have full health + potion + bonuses so you have advantage. Zerk is good for owning noobs but versus good grunt it's not easy to win.

If anything zerk is poor:

Space = jump

Wheel up = jump

Wheel down = jump

Right click = jump with dmg...

His biggest advantage is special which is great way to chase people or initiate (whirlwind + bomb). His few % faster movement speed isn't noticeable...

It's a bit hard to tell and hard to test since we don't have private games, so I can't test stuff with somebody I know.

I'm only sure the combo I've mentioned is OP - it's unblockable, hard to dodge (due to whirlwind speed) and deals enough damage to bring me down from full health (not sure if that's still true after recent dmg changes). This is the very definition of OP ;)

Apart from this combo, I've noticed I'm having hard time vs zerks and I'm quite good vs grunts, but this can be also because a) zerks are usually played by better players, b) I'm more used to fighting grunts.

Other issues I see with zerk:

- his jump skills are pretty much useless. I haven't seen anyone using them.

- grunt's skills don't work well vs him (except block) - roll? zerk is attacking all the time because why not, so you roll into dmg. kick? zerk doesn't roll/block.

Also the fights vs zerk are simply not as fun as grunt vs grunt because it goes like this:

1. I try to stay away from zerk looking for knives until he uses his whirlwind,

2. if whirlwind hits and he has a bomb I'm dead,

3. if he misses, I block his hits and hit him few times, he hits me few times too (there's really not much skill here, just spam),

4. if we're still alive after some time I disengage because his whirlwind will be ready soon,

5. GOTO 1

Kick/shockwave breaks whirlwind. I think if you roll you both will fall and take dmg.
