Something I commonly see people complain about is "pin-rolling", etc., where you can knock an opponent down over and over until they are killed.
What if the player could control when they got up after being knocked down? This would make it difficult for others to figure out when they should roll/shield bash to knock the player down again.
Maybe enforce a 5 second down-time, where you automatically stand up after 5 seconds, otherwise the player can control when they get up before then.
