I think most people playing this game will agree that blocking is broken. I've noticed you let rolling break the block and I've tried this out. I feel like it doesn't work out that well. If the person is running away from you while blocking, you need to get really close to be able to roll into the person.
I feel like there are two ways to fix this:
a) Make rolling faster. This way, you'll be able to interrupt blocks more efficiently.
b) Make the block window smaller. You might draw inspiration from the parry window in Dark Souls. This way, blocking remains rewarding, but it takes a lot more skill to get consistently and allows enemies to punish 'block spammers' more easily.
