And if it goes without the shield could have a small advantage in the mobility of the character

+ 3% speed

+ More mobility

- defense

Maybe greater damage too (because two hands are stronger than one)

How about using no shield adds .5 damage to all attacks, does everything you said in the post, and blocks a shorter amount of time and in a lesser angle (180 instead of 270)
