Dash + Roll not Working

I try to execute supersonic mecha roll by dashing and then rolling, but it's not launching me with the correct velocity. In fact, it seems to slow me down instead. Please help I can't play the game without the supersonic mecha roll

This type of roll wasn't supposed to be possible it was a bug I think.
